CORPUS CHRISTI (March 15, 2013)--Heisman Trophy winner and New York Jets backup quarterback Tim Tebow is scheduled to speak Wednesday at an event in Corpus Christi where the YMCA is holding an event called "Celebration of Collaborations."
Local YMCA president Jim Scoville said the event is expected to focus on the importance of hard work and the Christian faith.
Tebow is outspoken about his Christian faith and routinely addresses religious audiences.
He spoke last year at an Easter service held near Austin and was also scheduled to appear next month in Dallas before canceling after questions were raised about the church's controversial pastor.
