COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 28, 2012) -- Temple College catcher Jenna Bane has been named NJCAA Softball Player of the Week for games March 19-25.
The former Temple High School standout helped the Leopards to a 4-0 record last week. Bane batted .643 (9-for-14) with nine RBIs and nine runs scored. Bane displayed her power with a double, four triples and a home run. The freshman also stole two bases in the four games.
TC takes on MCC in a doubleheader Wednesday at Bosque River Ballpark, then returns home Saturday for a twin bill against North Central Texas College.
