(March 28, 2012) -- The McLennan Highlassies fell to the Temple Lady Leopards 1-0 and 3-2 in today's doubleheader at Bosque River Ballpark.
The Lady Leopards and Highlassies were deadlocked through six innings in Game 1, until the top of the 7th. Temple had runners on second and third when Shelby Ripple bunted an infield single to score former West Lady Trojan Breanna Pavlas. The run proved to be the difference for Temple.
Kelly Smith and Taylor Kelm both took losses in the circle for MCC. Victoria Alcozer led the Highlassies at the plate, going 1-3 with an RBI in the second game.
MCC returns to action on April 4, hosting North Central for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
