(August 26, 2013) -- Former Baylor linebacker Elliot Coffey was cut by the Houston Texans Monday afternoon. The Texans cutting 10 players total, trying to trim their roster to the mandatory 75-players before Tuesday.
Coffey went undrafted in 2012 and signed a free agent deal with the Denver Broncos. Coffey was working at Enterprise in Houston before being signed by the Texans on August 11.
Coffey played in 47 games for Baylor, with 22 started. He posted 224 tackles with 4 interceptions for the Bears.
