UMHB Faces Wesley...Again

BELTON (November 28, 2012) -- So they meet again.
For the eighth time in the last eight years UMHB will play Wesley College. In the last two years the Wolverines have knocked the Cru out in the NCAA Quarterfinals.

"They beat us the past two years and we're going to try and attack early and often to get the win," said UMHB receiver Geoff Myles. "We know what they're gonna do, they know what we're gonna do. So it's going to be a tough game."

UMHB beat wesley earlier this season in Dover, Del. A win that's given the Cru confidence, and a loss Wesley is using for motivation.

"Beating them in the playoffs would be a lot better than beating them just in the regular season," said UMHB defensive back Brodrick Crain. "That did help out confidence a lot."

"This is a redemption game. This is the only team we lost to all year," said Wesley defensive back Mike Brandenburg. "And, we're looking forward to getting another chance to prove ourselves this Saturday."

Saturday is what matters for both schools. It's a matchup everyone has seen before, UMHB vs Wesley in a national quarterfinal.

"Our guys, they understand, they understand what's at stake. You know, this is the same boat we were in last year," said Wesley head coach Mike Drass. "UMHB was 12 and 0 last year and we had to go down there and win. We're in the same boat. That's not an easy chore."

"This is the kind of game you do all this for," said UMHB head coach Pete Fredenburg. "This is why you're in the business, why you sacrifice and do all the hard work you've done all year long to get into ball games like this. This is fun."
