Belton (November 26, 2012) -- The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men’s soccer team is ranked second in the West Region in the latest NCAA Regional Rankings. The Cru trails only undefeated Trinity University in the regional rankings and is currently ranked ahead of American Southwest Conference rivals Mississippi College (fourth) and U.T.-Dallas (sixth). The NCAA Regional Rankings are used to determine selections and seeding for the NCAA Division III National Championships.
The UMHB men’s soccer team is currently 10-3-1 overall and 8-1-1 in ASC play on the season. The Cru returns to action with a 7:00 PM home match against Hardin-Simmons University tonight at the Cru Soccer Field. UMHB will then close out the regular season with a 7:00 PM home match against Howard Payne University on Saturday. The Cru has already clinched a berth in next weekend’s ASC Championship Tournament. UMHB could claim a share of the ASC regular season title and earn the right to play host to the ASC Tournaments with two wins this weekend and if Mississippi College and U.T.-Dallas play to a tie on Saturday in Richardson.
