UMHB Set to Host Franklin in NCAA Second Round

Belton (November 18, 2012) -- The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor football team will get a Second Round home game in the NCAA Division III National Championships after receiving official notification from the NCAA Sunday afternoon. The Cru will play host to Franklin College in a 12:00 PM kickoff at Tiger Field in the first-ever meeting between the two teams. UMHB is 11-0 on the season and ranked 2nd in both national polls and advanced with a 59-20 victory over Louisiana College in a First Round game on Saturday. Franklin is 9-2 on the year and is ranked 16th (D3football.com) and 20th (AFCA) in the country in the national polls. The Grizzlies are champions of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference and advanced to the Second Round with a 42-10 opening round victory over Adrian (MI) on Saturday.

Tickets for Saturday’s game will go on sale to previous ticket holders on Tuesday, November 20th, from 2:00-6:00 PM at the ticket windows on the University Drive entrance to the Mayborn Campus Center. Tickets will go on sale to everyone on Wednesday, November 21st. from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM and then will not be available for purchase again until the ticket windows open at Tiger Field at 10:30 AM on Saturday. All reserved seat tickets are $8. General admission tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for students (ages 3-up) and seniors (ages 60-up). There are no complimentary admissions or passes for NCAA postseason events.
