BELTON (September 9, 2012) -- University of Mary Hardin-Baylor football player Darius Wilson has been named American Southwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Cru’s 34-7 season-opening victory over Kean University Saturday night. Wilson, a senior running back from Cy-Springs High School, ran for 165 yards and three touchdowns on 12 carries and he added four receptions for 40 yards and another score. The four total touchdowns tie a UMHB single-game record and Wilson had scoring runs of one, 65 and 73 yards and the touchdown reception covered 15 yards.

UMHB is now 1-0 on the season following the victory over Kean. The Cru will return to action with an 11:00 AM Central Time kickoff at 3rd-ranked Wesley College this Saturday in Dover, Delaware.
