Volleyball Selected For ESPNU TV Match

IRVING (August 2, 2012) -- Baylor’s volleyball team was selected to host Texas on ESPNU on Sept. 25, Big 12 officials announced with the release of the league’s five-game television schedule.

The Bears and Longhorns will clash at 7 p.m. at the Ferrell Center on Sept. 25, which also marks Baylor’s conference home opener and a return from a seven-game road trip.

BU is hosting a TV match against the Longhorns for the second consecutive season after playing UT on the Longhorn Network at the Ferrell Center. The two teams are playing a TV match for the third straight season overall, going back to an ESPNU match in Austin in 2009.

This season’s BU-UT match is one of five Big 12 games selected for television, including four on ESPNU and one on FSN. Additional television appearances are possible through other Big 12 broadcast partners and institutional contracts and will be announced when available.

Baylor’s season is set to begin on Aug. 24 when it hosts the Fairfield Inn North Baylor Classic that includes Nevada, Tulane and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
