(June 7, 2012) -- West's second ever trip to state doesn't end with a second state championship.
A 4-run fourth inning by Texarkana Pleasant Grove gave the Hawks a 4-0 win over the Trojans in the 3A state final Thursday night at Disch-Falk Field in Austin.
Pleasant Grove loaded the bases in the top of the 4th and scored all of its runs on a bases loaded walk, a 2-run error, and a sac fly. The Trojans couldn't solve Hawks' pitcher Roman Brown, who pitched a complete game four hitter, striking out eight.
West ends the year at 32-9.
