ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (August 27, 2012) -- Former Baylor linebacker Elliot Coffey has been waived by the Denver Broncos.
NFL teams were mandated to cut rosters to 75 players by Monday afternoon.
Coffey was signed by the Broncos as a free agent on April 28.
He appeared in 47 games (22 starts) for the Bears and totaled 224 tackles (114 solo), four interceptions, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.
Coffey earned All-Big 12 honors as a senior in 2011 and was named defensive MVP of the Alamo Bowl.
