NEW YORK (January 3, 2012) -- The Mavericks are getting their White House trip, though Mark Cuban and the NBA disagree on how it was
arranged.
And Cuban insists the league still messed up by not giving the
champions a game in Washington.
He reiterated Tuesday that scheduling a Mavericks game in
Washington should have been more of a priority, given the
compressed schedule and how few off days would be available for the traditional trip to meet the president.
Regardless, the Mavs are heading to Washington next week, which
the NBA says it helped coordinate once it learned President Barack
Obama would be available. Cuban, however, says in an email that the
team "took the lead" and included the league in its plans.
