(April 1, 2013) -- The life of an NBA rookie. Perry Jones III is going through the typical trials.
After a few stints with the D-League Tulsa 66ers, Perry Jones III recently got called back up to the team. He will remain with the Oklahoma City Thunder for the remainder of the year.
It's been a learning year for the Thunder's 2012 first round draft pick. But it does help learning from veterans on the team, like reigning NBA scoring champ Kevin Durant.
"I was just trying to follow their footsteps," Jones said. "I mean, they play 30-plus minutes, but they are also in the gym, the earliest on days we have off, shooting, working on their game, so I'm just following them."
