WACO (September 17, 2012) -- Baylor's Sept. 29 football game at West Virginia will be televised live at 11:05 a.m. CT on FX, the Big 12 Conference announced Monday. The Bears will be playing on a FOX network for the third time in four games this season.
The game in Morgantown, W.V., will be the first Big 12 Conference game of the 2012 season for the Bears, and it will be the Mountaineers’ first league game in their inaugural Big 12 season.
Prior to opening Big 12 play, the Bears hit the road to take on Louisiana-Monroe at 7 p.m. Friday in a game that will telecast live nationally on ESPN or ESPN2. ULM is coming off a pair of road games against SEC teams. The Warhawks upset No. 8 Arkansas in overtime on Sept. 8 and lost in overtime at Auburn on Saturday.
Baylor’s first two games of the season aired on FSN and FCS, respectively. The Bears’ game at West Virginia will be the 13th time in the last 14 conference games that the Bears have played on national television.
The Sept. 29 game at West Virginia will be the first time the Bears and Mountaineers have ever met on the gridiron. It will mark the third time Baylor has played on FX – the Bears lost 30-20 at Texas on Oct. 24, 1998, and fell 55-28 at Texas A&M on Oct. 15 last season.
