(August 23, 2012) -- The Baylor volleyball team opens the 2012 season by hosting the Fairfield Inn North Baylor Classic beginning Friday. The Bears will be looking to capture its second-straight Fairfield Inn North Baylor Classic title.

Senior middle hitter Torri Campbell, who was named to the Preseason All-Big 12 team, is the leading returner on offense and at the net on defense. As a junior, she led the team in blocks, blocks/set and points/set and ranked second on the team in kills, kills/set and points.

Despite losing six letterwinners to graduation, Baylor reloaded with seven incoming freshman, ranking No. 16 in the country according to PrepVolleyball.com.
