AUSTIN (January 11, 2013) -- He's staying, he's going, and now he's staying. Texas receiver Mike Davis released a statement Thursday night saying he will return for his senior season at Texas, "I am sorry for any confusion today. I want everyone to know that I'm coming back for my senior year. I'm excited to be getting back with my teammates, Coach Brown and the whole staff when the semester starts up next week. I'm really looking forward to another year as a Longhorn."
ESPN had reported earlier in the day Davis would forgo his senior season and enter the NFL draft. Sources told Hookem.com the report was accurate but Davis had a change of heart after speaking with Texas receivers coach Darrell Wyatt.
Earlier in the week Davis posted on Twitter he planned to return to Texas.
Underclassman have until January 15 to declare for the NFL draft.
