WACO (August 13, 2013) -- Baylor’s Dec. 6 men’s basketball game against Kentucky at AT&T Stadium (formerly Cowboys Stadium) will be televised on ESPN as part of the inaugural Big 12/SEC Challenge.
The game will tip off at 9 p.m. CT as the second half of a men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader between Baylor and Kentucky. A single ticket is good for admittance to both the men’s and women’s games.
The Bears and Wildcats will be playing for the third consecutive season. UK won when the teams met in Atlanta in the 2012 NCAA Tournament Elite Eight, and Baylor beat Kentucky last season to snap the Wildcats’ 55-game home winning streak.
Baylor is now scheduled to play 18 games on the ESPN family of networks, as well as five games on the Big 12 Network, which is produced by ESPN Regional Television. The Bears had every game televised for the first time in program history last season, including a school-record 26 games on the ESPN family of networks.
Baylor returns one of the nation’s best frontcourts with Cory Jefferson, Isaiah Austin, Rico Gathers, Taurean Prince and Chad Rykhoek, and the Bears also have experience on the outside with Brady Heslip, Gary Franklin and Logan Lowery returning.
