Belton (June 5, 2012) -- University of Mary Hardin-Baylor baseball player Chris Joshlin has been voted to the American Baseball Coaches Association All-West Region Team released Tuesday. Joshlin was voted to the All-West Region Third Team as a catcher.
Joshlin, a senior from Rogers High School, won the American Southwest Conference batting title this season after hitting .429 with three home runs and 20 RBI. Joshlin also tied for the ASC lead with 17 doubles and walked 11 times. His slugging percentage of .605 and .485 on-base percentage led UMHB and Joshlin added 63 hits, eight stolen bases and 30 runs scored. He was ASC West Division Co-Player of the Year and was a First Team ASC All-West Division selection.
This is the second All-Region selection for Joshlin. He also took Second Team All-West Region honors from D3baseball.com. The Cru baseball team finished the 2012 season with a 21-17 overall record and went 11-10 in ASC West Division play.
