COLLEGE STATION (November 15, 2012)—Missing Texas A&M freshman football player Thomas Linze Johnson, 18, has been found safe, university police said Thursday.
Thomas was found in the Dallas area at around 2:30 a.m. Thursday with the assistance of Dallas police and Texas Rangers, officials said.
Johnson, who was last seen Monday, was the focus of a search Wednesday evening as the Texas A&M Police Department sought the public’s assistance in finding the 5-foot-11, 180-pound wide receiver.
Johnson was recruited out of Skyline High School in Dallas, where he earned All-District honors.
“All of us are obviously very concerned about the safety and well-being of Thomas Johnson, who has been missing since Monday evening,” A&M coach Kevin Sumlin said in a statement Wednesday.
“Authorities are working closely with his family, friends and law enforcement agencies to help locate him,” he said.
“Thomas is a tremendous student-athlete, greatly admired by his fellow teammates and all of us on the coaching staff,” he said.
