Belton (April 18, 2013) -- University of Mary Hardin-Baylor baseball player Chance Ryan has been named American Southwest Conference West Division Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 14th.
Ryan, a senior right-hander from Rosebud-Lott High School, scattered seven hits over eight innings in an 8-3 victory over Schreiner University last Saturday. He also became UMHB’s career strikeout leader in that game, pushing his total to 222 and topping the previous mark of 220.
The Cru is 19-17 overall and finished ASC West Division play with a 10-8 record. UMHB will close out the regular season with a three-game non-conference series against LeTourneau University this weekend at Red Murff Field.
