Belton (March 28, 2012) -- The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s golf team climbed three spots and entered the top ten in the nation in this week’s Golf World/Nike Golf Division III Coaches’ Top 25 Poll. The UMHB women totaled 319 points in this week’s poll to move up to #10 in the country from the previous ranking of 13th. Methodist University holds down the top spot with 17 first-place votes and 496 total points.

The Cru is one of two American Southwest Conference teams ranked in the latest poll. U.T.-Tyler is ranked 14th with 231 total points.

The Cru women are coming off a fourth-place finish at the Bluebonnet Classic in Grapevine earlier this week. The UMHB women were the top finishing Division III program in that event.

The Golf World/Nike Golf Coaches’ Poll combines the resources of Golf World magazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America.
