(July 13, 2012) -- Outfielder Logan Vick will not be returning for his senior year at Baylor. The first team All Big 12 selection agreed to terms Friday with the Cleveland Indians.
Vick was selected in the 11th round by the Indians. Today marked the deadline for drafted players to sign with a Major League team.
Vick is a first-team All-Big 12 center fielder and third-team All-American. He has started 61 games and is hitting .344 with a Big 12-best 25 doubles, 46 runs scored, 39 RBI and 17 stolen bases this season. His 25 doubles are one shy of the Baylor single-season record, and he holds Baylor’s single-season walks record with 59 in his 2010 Freshman All-American season. A career .302 hitter, Vick has 46 doubles, 130 walks and a .420 on-base percentage in 168 games over three seasons.
