Below is an email I received late Wednesday night. I'm working to see if I can get any more information about this family, but I promised Tori I would share it with you on my blog.

Dear Mrs.Hays,

    I am Tori Zander and I want to ask you a question. I know a 5 year old named Darcy Cassidy and she has a severe Brain Tumor. I was wondering if you could possibly mention her in the News. Its OK if you cant but you wont believe me if I told you how strong that little girl is. She lives in Meridian that's North of Clifton. She will be going to Memphis, TN. to go to St.Jude's Children's Hospital. She will be taking Chemotherapy. Last night in Meridian they had a Fish Fry so they can pay for the flight to TN. and at Waco where they took a sample of the tumor they had to cut the back of her head and neck approximately 5 in. She now has staples there. She only has a 10% chance of living. By mentioning Darcy and her family...I HOPE AND PRAY that people will pray with me too. I hope Darcy Cassidy lives.

    I just happen to see this story & it's wonderful she is doing good! My wife is having some medical issues & is temporarily staying with her brother (2300 miles away from me). I am sad but realize there are a lot worse things to worry about such as Darcy's cancer. Anyway, I wrote a song for my wife but it seems like it might also partially fit Darcy called 'Rodeo Girl'. Thought I would share the link for it in case the Cassidy's happen to see this they might have fun hearing it.. www.OurStage.com search for 'Rodeo Girl' (by Gary Hoffman) & give it a listen, maybe it will put another smile on you guy's faces & hearing about her story made feel not so bad since my wife will be back in June 2011 (or maybe sooner when she hears my song).

    I said a prayer for Darcy. I have faith that God will watch over her. I am a cancer survivior, and with the grace of God I got through it. He will watch over Darcy also. I worked at Baylor for wonderful years.

    Darcy you are in my prayers. With GOD all things are possible. My Dad had a massive stroke and wasnt expected to make it when he did they said he would never walk,talk,or eat he had a peck tube but we prayed and GOD answered my Daddy walked,talked and they took the peck tube out and he fed himself.. God is the only answer because he is the GREAT PHYSICIAN.. GOD SPEED SWEETIE

    my pray is that god will bless & keep little darcy alive for along time to come. and I will pray for darcy for ever & ever & ever & her parents. love you little darcy & i hope they name a doll called litte darcy cassidy doll.

    The balloon ceremony was beautiful and brought many to tears. What you have not seen through the entire thing is anything but a smile on Darcy's face. She has been a gift and inspiration to all that she has come in contact with and I only hope to ever have half of the strength that this child has. She does need prayers. She is strong and has LOTS to live for!!!!! You go Tori! That you would be willing to put the thoughts out there for prayers shows what type of child you are!

    I will keep little Darcy in my prayers. What a wonderful thing you are doing here Tori. Your faith and love amazes me. I pray for Darcy's recovery, her family and everyone that is affected in this situation.

    My daughter and son came in today and said that the whole school let balloons go at Meridian Elementary today:) They said as they blew the balloons up they were filling them with prayers for Darcy:) I love this community. We come together in times like these:) I also pray for Darcy and her safe arrival to TN. I also pray that God will guide the Drs. hands.
