You know... there are not many communities like those in Central Texas.

Most people would roll out of bed, see the clouds and rain on the horizon, and then head back to sleep in for a few more hours. But, not in Waco. Not in Copperas Cove. Not in China Spring.  And the list goes on and on.

We had close to 6-thousand runners and walkers show up, many to walk-up registration, the actual morning of the race.  Weather couldn't keep thousands of us from racing for a cure.  The streets of downtown Waco were packed in pink!  It was amazing.

Thank you again to everyone who helped make the race a success!

Tune in Monday night , April 27th, as 10 ON YOUR SIDE shows you where that money is going and what all is available to you in regards to cancer related services, thanks to the money raised for the Komen Foundation.  Together, we will find a cure!

Yes Roberta, you would think that was the idea, but considering the fact that abortion raises your chances of breast cancer by leaps and bounds, why would Komen give money to PP? There are alternative places to give the grant monies to for mammography and other breast services, lots and lots of places, including Scott & White clinics. At 4million abortions per day - we can't ignore this.

What does it matter if Komen gives grants to Planned Parenthood, it goes for mammograms and other tests for Breast Cancer, isn't that the whole idea of the Race to help raise money to help people and to find a cure?

Julie; Your presence at the Race For A Cure was wonderful. I also want to thank you for recognizing my mother by having her interviewed this past Thursday. My mother and my father were my inspiration to start running in April of 2008. I have since run 2 marathons, 3 5Ks, 1 10K, and 2 half marathons. Mark S. Gilliland
