The World Meteorological Organization announced earlier this month that they have retired three hurricane names due to the death and damage they caused in 2008.
The names Gustav, Ike, and Paloma (Atlantic storms) and Alma (Pacific storm) will no longer be used.
These names will be replaced by Gonzalo, Isaias, Paulette, and Amanda in 2014.
