Our wheels left the tarmac at Regional in Waco at 6:18am Saturday, August 1st. Arrival in Dallas a short 26 minutes later, now relaxing at Embassy Suites in lovely  Seattle.  We had a terrific lunch of some of the freshest Alaskan cod and clam chowder on the Pacific coast at “Ettas” overlooking crystal blue water.  With absolutely no guilt, we topped off our meal with delicious coconut crème pie.

We climb on board The Norwegian “Sun” cruise liner Sunday for the first 4 day leg of this 14 day excursion.

My wife Ann and I are excited beyond words at this wonderful travel opportunity and we are so grateful to KWTX-TV for making it possible!  This will be an attempt to blog our Alaska vacation as often as internet connections permit.

We are travelling with a host of viewers from all parts of Central Texas.  Everyone eager to see sights which are best described by those who’ve journeyed this way before as breathtaking!

We are attending a big reception for the group hosted by Embassy Suites tonight, so gotta run.  Please check back often for updates and our chance to share this great experience with our viewing family.
