In its August Atlantic hurricane season outlook, NOAA said it now expects a near- to below-normal Atlantic hurricane season, as the calming effects of El Niño continue to develop. The El Nino pattern, which is found in the tropical Pacific Ocean, is known to have a damping effect on tropical cyclone activity in the Atlantic Basin, which includes the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea, as well as the Atlantic Ocean.

Scientists caution, however, that the season’s quiet start does not guarantee safe times ahead. We are just now entering the historical peak period of August through October, when most storms form. For more information, follow this link:

Of course it is an educated guess. What else could it be? Unlike hurricane predictions though, I believe that opinion regarding Global Climate Change are more politically motivated and are more BUNK than anything else.

In other words, these meteorologists just make an educated guess at what is going to happen with the weather. Kinda like the scam that is "global climate change". If they can't even accurately predict one hurricane season how are we supposed to have any faith whatsoever they can predict the entire planets weather patterns over a long period of time? I guess the phrase "global climate change" is accurate since the climate is always changing on this planet, and has been for billions of years.
