An extreme drought has gripped much of the state of Texas this year, but that may changes some as we head into the weekend.  Numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected not only across our area, but across much of the state of Texas as well.  Some of the showers may produce locally heavy rainfall, and due to this threat the National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for much of Central Texas until 7am Sunday...

The Hydrometeorological Prediction Center is forecasting very rainfall totals over the next several days.  Here is a look at there 5 day forecast (this graphic will update throughout the weekend, so check back for updates in forecast from HPC)...
