Days until my wedding: 107

I am now two and a half weeks into my "new lifestyle" and things are pretty good so far.  I have lost 13 pounds.  I can't tell a huge difference just yet, but I had to pull by belt buckle and extra notch today.  That felt pretty good!

My trainer at WRS Athletic Club, Gretchen Chiles, continues to push me.  I am so happy she does.  I know that if I was at the gym by myself I wouldn't go as hard as I am now.  I try to go to the gym six days a week.  Usually I do cardio 3 of the days, and do weight training and cardio the other three days.  Gretchen does a nice job of mixing things up for me.  No two days are the same, and that's just what I need.  I will say though, that hitting the punching bag is my favorite workout.  I had never done it before and it can be a lot of fun .. and tiring.

Also, she's keeps me in check when it comes to eating better.  Right now she has me writing down everything that I eat in a day.  We are going to go over the results tomorrow.  I'll be really interested to see what she says.  I've actually been pretty good this week except for a few too many pieces of candy.  Gretchen is in such good shape and she knows what's good to eat and what isn't.  I can't help but listen to her.  Heck, she talks to me even when she is not around.  The other day I was in the drive-through of a very good .. but very bad for you fast food joint.  In the back of my mind I could hear Gretchen telling me not to eat there .. so I pulled out and went and ate a turkey sandwich instead!

That's all for now .. wish me luck this weekend as I try to keep on eating better.  The wedding isn't that far off!
