Last summer I posted a blog about the best high school football players I have ever seen.  I got a ton of responses to that blog, so I figured why not do one for hoops?

So who's the best?  Who is the best high school basketball player you have ever seen in Central Texas (boys or girls, it doesn't matter).  Leave your response in the comment section and I might even mention it in a sportscast.  Heck, if you know of someone from outside of this area, you can list them as well.

Here are the best I've seen in the seven years I've been in Central Texas:

Cokie Reed (Midway) - She had size and knew how to use it ... led Midway to a title ... playing big minutes for UT.

Delisa Gross (Midway) - Part of last year's great Midway team ... excellent outside shooter ... plays at TCU.

Russ Permenter (Temple) - A skilled big man ... great shot blocker ... playing for Providence right now.

Carl Sims (Waco High) - Lightning quick ... played football and basketball at Baylor

Best player I ever played against in high school:

Ryan Humphrey (Tulsa Washington) - He was a man among boys in high school ... not fun to play against at all ... drafted by Jazz.
