Friends,

I would like to share some thoughts with you about the happiest day of my life, Sunday, January 2, 2011. That's the day my girlfriend Ashley said she would marry me infront of Cinderella's Castle at Disney World.

If you don't know already, I'm a huge movie fan, so I've seen hundreds of proposals in the movies. But, none of that prepared me for the real thing. The movies did get some things right: the man gets down on one knee, the girl puts her hands up to her face in surprise, and there's crying. What the movies can't show is what's going on inside the couple's minds.

Before asking, I was more nervous than ever, but at the same time, never so 100% sure about a decision as this one. Even though my family and thousands of Disney World patrons were around us, I felt like just her and I were there in that moment.

I'm so thankful to have joined KWTX and been welcomed with warm arms by Central Texas. I never though I'd meet the woman of my dreams here too.
