The heat has been a major story across Central Texas, and July was no exception.  July 2011 will go down in the record books as the hottest month on record in our area, as we broke the record for the hottest average afternoon high temperature and the average temperature as well.

For only the second time on record we had everyday of a month reach the 100° mark.  The only other time that occurred was back in July of 1980.  Below is a comparison of July 2011 and July 1980.
