Updated: 8:30 PM All good things must come to an end. So goes this daily journal describing what for Ann and me was a trip of a lifetime. This amazing two week vacation has been shared by 47 individuals and couples, some of whom were at first strangers, now a group of somewhat homesick friends.
Updated: 8:29 PM The skies just outside of Denali Park were clear at sunrise this 11th day of our Alaskan trip. This corner of the world sparkled and shined as we walked to the motor coach after breakfast in upper 30 degree air!
Updated: 8:31 PM This blog for the tenth day on the Alaskan venture was delayed until our arrival in Anchorage due to an absent WiFi connection at Denali, so I am doing a bit of catching up.

Updated: 8:25 PM Day 5 of our Alaskan adventure brought our ship into port at the state capital, Juneau.
Updated: 8:20 PM By sunrise on this fourth day, our ship had saddled up to the dock at Ketchikan, Alaska. Known both as “Alaska’s First City” and “The Salmon Capital of the World”, Ketchikan seemed sleepy at first light.
Updated: 8:19 PM Our third day followed a restful first night aboard the cruise liner! There’s just something about the subtle movement of a ship that lulls me into deep sleep.
Updated: 8:51 PM Day two began after a great night’s sleep at Embassy Suites in Seattle. We all arrived downstairs in the dining room for a delicious complimentary breakfast before heading for our custom motor coach.
Updated: 8:18 PM Our wheels left the tarmac at Regional in Waco at 6:18am Saturday, August 1st. Arrival in Dallas a short 26 minutes later, now relaxing at Embassy Suites in lovely Seattle.
