Gas Price Envy

Not a very long blog topic this morning...but some food for thought.

I was in Oklahoma City this Easter weekend visiting friends. Gas prices in the Sooner State are considerably less than here in Texas...about 20 cents a gallon less.

I did find it funny, though, to look at a sign that says $2.99 for a gallon of regular and think "wow, that’s a good deal."

No pun intended...but it is a sign of the times, I suppose.

I suppose if you had a product that was more or less essential selling for maybe $1.25 and you wanted to raise the price to, say maybe, $2.25. If you raised the price to $2.75 for awhile and then dropped the price to $2.25 a lot of people would purchase your product thinking of the bargain price they were receiving. I think the oil companies have been playing this game for several decades.
