Here in the Doppler 10 Forecast Center we have made it where you have many different avenues to get weather update when you need them. 

In this blog I thought I would show you all of the different ways that you can get the weather information you need from News 10:

-         On your TV- even though we have added a lot of new stuff we are still a TV station, so yes that is a great place to get fast and accurate weather info.  During severe weather situations will post watches and warnings, run crawls, and do cutins when needed.

-         On KWTX.com- the weather section of KWTX.com continues to grow with more and more useful weather information.  You can find Doppler 10 radar, the seven day forecast, you web weather forecast, weather graphics for here and all over the U.S., and so much more

-         On KWTXtogo.com- if you have a web enabled cell phone you can log on to kwtxtogo.com and look at Doppler 10 radar and get your latest forecast.

-         With Text messages- Many times you may not be paying attention to the weather.  To help solve that problem you can go to KWTX.com and sign up for text messages that will be sent directly to you cell phone when severe weather warnings are issued for Central Texas.

-         Desktop Alert- this is a cool feature that you can set up on your work or home computer.  It gives you the current weather information and when severe weather, or breaking news happens, it will run a crawl across the bottom of you computer screen

-         Streaming Coverage on the Web- This is our newest feature that we have added to our severe weather coverage.  If you are at work or away from a TV, you can log on to KWTX.com during severe weather and see live streaming coverage from the Doppler 10 Forecast Center.  This is raw and unedited coverage, so if you have ever wanted to see what happens behind the scenes in the forecast center, then this is a great tool for you.
