I Voted.

I voted today. Just before noon, I took my lunch break and went over to my area election office and cast my ballot in the Texas Primary. Since I handle most of the political coverage for News 10, I plan on being very busy on March 4th, so I figured I'd get my voting out of the way.

I have voted in every state and federal election since I was 18. It's not like I'm keeping score or anything, but I've always felt like I needed to do my civic duty. Over the years I have used paper ballots where you draw arrows to connect the candidate to your vote, old fashioned switches and leavers and today a full electronic voting machine.

As far as I'm concerned, there is something a little off putting about using a computer screen to vote and then getting no receipt or printed record of your vote. I wouldn't even leave a gas station without a receipt for a purchase, so why am I told it is perfectly OK to leave the polling location without some form of paper that confirms that I have voted, and whom I voted for.

The one thing that hasn't changed is the stickers you get when you vote. For the last decade they have always looked the same. I'm not sure who makes them or how much they charge, but that has to be a lucrative business.

If you haven't voted yet, I encourage you to do so.

I went and voted today. that was fun and easy. Then I came back to caucas at 6:45 pm and didn't leave from there until 11 pm. I went on the news cast online and heard that causcas was just signing up. That was what they told us whenwe first got there and was waiting. Then they said we had to stay. then the Hiliary people kept making a fit about very thing. Her people were rude, distasteful and very, very disrespectful. In my precint, there were 389 total people only 24 were for hilary. And with the way her people represented her I would never vote for her in anything not even a dog race. I started out excited about this day and now I'm disguised with the process. it was ver unorganized. Who can I call to get a better understanding?

I agree with Martha from Waco. That is about as interested as most people I know in this election. In my limited circle the election is considered "none of the above". I too have voted in most every election in which I was elegible to vote, but this time I have no choice that is even remotely satisfactory. I suppose the D's will shoot thenselves in the foot again against a candidate for the R's that would not have a chance under other circumstances. Such is life.

I like the handkerchief Christopher has in his pocket. It is so nice to see someone who is in the publics eye dressed nicly like that.
