I was a brand new sports reporter at KWTX when the Baylor basketball scandal occurred in the Summer of 2003.  That was an unbelievably unpleasant experience for me.  I didn't go in to sports so I could cover things like murders and cheating.  I got into sports so I could cover the fun stuff .. things like great games and great athletes .. or  events like what is happening at Baylor right now.   What's happening is this:  A great turnaround.

Watching the Bears go from a national embarrassment to one of the feel good stories has been a lot of run to watch in person.  I'm glad that people across the country will now get to learn more about this team and what they're all about.  Are the Bears good enough to make a run in the dance?  I'm not sure.  I do know this though, this team has made their school proud, and that's pretty darn good.
