Favorite Golf Courses

I'll be the first to admit it, I'm a golf addict.  I love to watch it on TV.  I love to play it even more.  During the summer months I sometimes make it out to the course three times a week.  I just can't get enough of it.  And lucky for me, there are plenty of great places to play in Central Texas.  I've hit almost every course in the area, but there are a few I have not been to yet and I would love to learn a bit more about them.  In a future blog, I'll tell you about my favorite places to play in the area, and I'll give you my reasons why.

For now though, I'd love to find out what your favorite course is, and why you like playing there. Give me your thoughts!

Keith, I'm right there with you when it comes to playing Connally and Battle Lake. Those are two of my favorite courses to play in the area. I'll always be partial to Connally because I shot my personal best round there (80). As for Battle Lake, I bet I played there twenty times or so last summer and I had a good time each round. The people out there are great. Dan

I enjoy Sun City's Legasy Hills, Burnet's Delaware Springs, Lampasas, I play twice a week at Ft. Hood's Clear Creek, and I now enjoy Killeen's course sinse the mangament change.

I've always enjoyed Connally or Battle Lake...not the prettiest courses in the area...but the most affordable and fun.

My favorite course is the Lions Park putt-putt. That windmill hole is always a challenge!

Golf and I have a hate/hate relationship. We have chosen to go our separate ways and we both feel that's for the best.
