Football season can't get here soon enough.  I've enjoyed a relaxing summer, and the Rangers have been fun, but nothing beats football.  Luckily, the season is only about a month away.  So it's time for my annual Big 12 predictions:

Love my picks?  Hate them?  Let me know what you think in the comments section.

South Division

1. Texas - Too much talent not to be the pick in the South.
2. Texas A&M - The Aggies are my surprise team in 2010.
3. Oklahoma - I'm not sold on OU this year.
4. Texas Tech - Tubbs will get Tech in a bowl game again.
5. Oklahoma State - OSU could struggle to get in a bowl game.
6. Baylor - BU's last four games are brutal.  They need to get 6 wins as early as possible.

North Division

1. Nebraska - The Huskers are legit this year.
2. Kansas State - Bill Snyder will prove why he's one of the best coaches of all time
3. Missouri - I could be underestimating the Tigers.
4. Colorado - Hawkins is fighting for his job.
5. Iowa State - How can you not like a coach like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAcKiMy0Gp4
6. Kansas - Gill will struggle in his first year

Baylor will beat A&M at home (just look at history), possibly Tech and upset OSU there - OSU is totally rebuilding. 6-6 or 7-5 is a reality. Sic 'Em!

I agree with most of these posts, as I'm not sure why there's so much hype about the Aggies. If Baylor can keep everybody healthy, I think they'll surprise a lot of people.

Texas losing to Tech in Tubby's first year thats like saying Wyoming will upset Texas in Austin not happening, Tech will get blown away by Texas,OU, and A&M possibly Baylor with Robert Griffin back

Enough of the fairytale gone wrong thing called Baylor Big 12 football. "Wait till next year!" I have heard that for the last 50 years now. A good season every ten years, a fluke championship a couple of years then dead ass last the rest of the time. Look in the stands at game time. The only place you see green and gold is where the band sits.

Texas Tech may be the sleeper team this year. But Texas is still on top. If they get their running game on track, I think they are sure to beat OU (AGAIN)

You guys have to be kidding, the Aggies had one of the top 10 offences in the COUNTRY last year, although the defense struggled. Dan is right about the top 3 no doubt, although not sure what order. Aggies and Sooners will roll, hopefully over tu. GIG EM SOONERS

Well you proved your knowledge of football by putting A&M 2nd in the Big 12 south. Are you kidding? A new defense coming in, and returning most of the entire team. They didn't do that well last year, why, with the same team but different defense, would they automatically jump up to 2nd? Your surprise team in the south should be Baylor, they have more to play for this year, and I think a lot of people in the Big 12 are going to be surprised. I think OU wins the south, then Texas, Ok. State, Baylor, A&M, and Tech.

Texas will prob win the South unless OU beats them, I'm not high on their young QB though, I like Tech's young QB, he looked really good in their bowl game but I'm no longer a Tech fan so I don't care..I'd like to see Baylor win some but I don't see how you can get alot of talent to come to Waco, let Nebraska & Colorado go and send OU and Okla St to the North and bring TCU and Houston into the South

This Aggies rhetoric is going old. How do you expect a 6-7 team returning almost the same group of players but with new coaching schemes on defense and offense to suddently catapult ahead in the standings? This is wishful thinking. The Aggies will again finish the season as the 5th best team in the Big XII south if lucky.

Texas is going to lose to Tech, A&M is going to lose to OU, Tech. Tech will probably end up losing to OU in Norman and we will most likely have a similar scenario to the 08 one, Jones is more experienced now, and OU might have the edge on getting the South title. The 'surprise' team will be Tech, A&M has no defense to surprise anyone, OSU might end up beating them. The South could be a toss up between Tech, Texas and OU, and whichever one plays the title game, will end up beating any North team. Nebraska and A&M are over-hyped, and the bubble will burst once they start doing what they do best, LOSING.
