Paying With Time?

A new website is saving money and saving communities.
I heard about this website on the news this morning while I was getting ready for work: http://www.timebanks.org/ Here is what the website says they do: "Every hour you spend doing something for someone in your community, you earn one Time Dollar. Then you have a Time Dollar to spend on having someone do something for you. It's that simple." Sounds pretty cool, doesn't it? The example I saw showed a guy fixing a woman's cabinets, then she gave spanish lessons to a little boy. Sounds like everyone wins, and what a great way to meet your neighbors AND save money! I guess you just have to figure out what it is that you could offer to other people. I sure wouldn't mind trading for someone to mow my yard! It is about to be that time again. Anyway, thought it was a neat idea. Just wanted to share. ALSO, you might have seen the commercials, but the morning crew and evening crew are competing against each other for 'Komen For The Cure' this year. I would love to have you on the morning team! race.komencentraltexas.org Click 'join a team' then search for 'Buzz' The team is called 'The Buzz on News 10 This Morning'
