Recently, our Springtime has included several episodes of stormy weather, and that makes our school safety program "Project Tornado" a true investment in the lives of Central Texas students and their families!

In order to share the faces of recent "live" video conferences" with viewers and relatives unable to see the mention on Thursday's 6pm newscast....you can click the media window to the left for an instant replay.   I'll attempt to bring additional segments of on-air pictures and mentions from future video conference sessions in the future.

We are so proud of our partners, Roxanne Glaser and Shane Howard at Region 12 Education Service Center in Waco for making these sessions possible.   Be sure to check out the request that came to Region 12 from - of all places - MICHIGAN!     The teachers there heard through the grapevine that a Waco, Texas weatherman was offering Tornado and Severe Weather Safety instructions through the high tech world of live and interactive "video conferencing" and made arrangements for their students in "The Wolverine State" to go head-to-head with me.

Who would have ever thought that "Project Tornado" would go "GLOBAL"!!!!

I LIVE NEAR MALONE TX. WE DO NOT HAVE CABLE AND TV RECEPTION IS NOT VERY GOOD OVER A ANTENNA. WE HAVE DISH TV, HOWEVER TO GET LOCAL CHANNELS THE ONLY ONES WE CAN GET ARE AT DALLAS AND FT WORTH. DISH SAID IT WAS YOU CHOICE WHO COULD PAY AND RECEIVE YOUR BROADCAST. I WORK IN BELLMEAD AND LIVE ALOT CLOSER TO WACO THAN DALLAS. YOU STOP SHORT ON WEATHER BROADCASTS ABOUT WEATHER NEAR HILLSBORO AND HUBBARD, UNLESS IT IS VERY BAD. DALLAS AND FT WORTH CHANNELS STOP SHORT OF THE SAME AREA. IT WOULD BE NICE TO HEAR NEWS AND WEATHER AROUND MY AREA AND NOT DALLAS. I WOULD LIKE TO GET YOUR STATION THRU DISH OR SOMEMANNER IF POSSIBLE BUT AGAIN I STATE DISH SAID IT WAS YOU WHO DECIDED TO WHAT AREA CAN PAY AND RECEIVE YOUR TRANSMISSION. CAN YOU HELP ON THIS SITUATION OR LET ME KNOW NOTHING CAN BE DONE.
