We are beating the Texas summer heat in "grand style" this August!    My wife, Ann and I have been given a rare opportunity to serve as hosts of a group of Central Texas viewers on the trip of a lifetime!  

For 14 days, beginning August 1st, we all fly out of Waco airport - headed for Seattle, then on to Vancouver to climb aboard the "NORWEIGAN SUN" cruise line for the first leg of a dream vacation to ALASKA - "The Last Frontier".    After the Inside Passage cruise, Juneau and Skagway, the adventure takes us inland by rail into the Yukon territory. Afterwards we head deep into the heart of Alaska through the Denali National Park, ending up in Anchorage for a couple of days!  Everyone I've spoken to who's been, states that Alaska is one of the most breathtaking places on Earth!

This year, our neighbors to the north, celebrate their 50th anniversary of statehood.  That will make this trip even more historic and certainly more exciting!
