CBS has announced dates for the fall premieres of its new and returning series, The Network will introduce the majority of its schedule beginning the week of September 21:
Just like last year, "Survivor" leads off the new show lineup. The 19th installment of the hit reality series, this time in Somoa, will return on Thursday, September 17 at 7pm. CBS's new season rollout officially begins on Monday Sept. 21 with the fifth season premiere of "How I Met Your Mother" at 7pm, the debut of new comedy "Accidentially on Purpose," the seventh season premiere of television's number one comedy "Two and a Half Men," and "The Big Bang Theory," now in season three. "CSI: Miami," the rounds out the night at 9pm. Tuesday nights have "NCIS" starting at 7pm and newcomer "NCIS: Los Angeles" at 8pm. New drama "The Good Wife" get the death spot of Tuesday night at 9pm. All these shows will premiere on Tuesday Sept. 22. Wednesday nights are the same as last year with "The New Adventures of Old Christine," "Gary Unmarried," "Criminal Minds" and "CSI: NY." The other Thursday night shows will begin on September 24. "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" comes in at 8pm (oh yeah, Sara will be back for some episodes again!) and "The Mentalist" will move to its new time slot at 9pm. Sunday September 28 brings the 41st season of "60 Minutes," the longest running and highest rated newsmagazine, the 13th edition of multi-Emmy Award winning "The Amazing Race," the sixth season of "Cold Case," and the fourth season premiere of "The Unit" on its new night. Friday nights bring "Ghost Whisperer" at 7pm and former NBC "Medium" at 8pm. "Numb3rs" round out the night at 9pm, all starting September 25. Saturday nights are reserved for repeats of crime dramas, and the season premiere of "48 Hours Mystery" is September 26. Sunday September 27 brings the 42nd season of "60 Minutes," the longest running and highest rated newsmagazine, "The Amazing Race," and "Cold Case." is it true that without a trace has been cancelled? what about flashpoint? both are two of my favorite shows. Posted by: Cindy Location: Illinois Is Flashpoint not being renewed by CBS? Posted by: Tracey I'm a little confused...when is the season premiere of "The Unit"-what night will it air? It's listed to premiere on Sunday September 28th-but the 28th is a Monday?! Posted by: linda Location: pasadena,md I'm really glad to see the unit come back on Sun nights Posted by: Sheila Location: Baker Oregon When is "The Unit" on?????? Day and Time. Posted by: Dell Location: TV Blog Kim: Without a Trace has been canceled by CBS. Nancy: These are times for the Central time zone. Posted by: Kim Location: home Is without a trace showing this season? If so, when is the season premier? Posted by: Nancy Location: Altadena Many returning shows are now on an hour earlier. Is that permanent? I hope so! Posted by: Lori Location: Texas the dates for your fall schedule season premiers are under the wrong dates,ex:csi miami starts on monday sept 21 not the 22nd which is tues. Posted by: Cindy Location: Cocoa, Fl What happened to Moonlight? What Happens with Nick St. James & Beth? Posted by: Gloria Location: Pasadena, CA Since the cancellation of Moonlight by CBS, my husband and I have opted out of viewing new shows by CBS. Swingtown being cancelled, so what. The next to go will be Flashpoint. Bye! Bye! A Moonlight call to arms. Unite! Posted by: Dell Location: TV Blog The chances look slim. "Swingtown" did not perform as well as many thought it would, and has been overshadowed by the success of "Flashpoint." So much so that CBS switched the nights that the shows were broadcast to get more viewers. Posted by: Lauri Location: MN Disappointed to see that Swingtown is not in the fall line up. Any chance it will come back as mid-season replacement? |
