Is this the last season for "Numb3rs?" Will "Gary Unmarried" return?
It's the CBS Spring 2010 schedule! While not filled with tons of changes, there are some things you should take note of.
The Jenna Elfman comedy "Accidentally on Purpose" will be moving into the Wednesday timeslot currently help by "Gary Unmarried." It is the hope that female led comedy will match up better with "The New Adventures of Old Christine" than it does currently with the other Monday night comedies.
David Spade and his midseason comedy "Rules of Engagement" will take over the "Accidentally on Purpose" timeslot. The show has done well enough each season to keep coming back. Probably doesn't hurt that it will be sandwiched between "Two and a Half Men" and "The Big Bang Theory," two of CBS's most popular comedies.
If you are a fan of "Numb3rs," watch all the episodes you can before March Madness starts. The season (or maybe series) finale is scheduled for March 12. Moving into its timeslot after the NCAA Tournament will be "Miami Medical," another drama from Jerry Bruckheimer of "CSI:" fame.
Premiering on April 2, it stars Jeremy Northam, Lana Parilla, Elisabeth Harnois & Omar Gooding as "adrenaline-fueled surgeons trying to keep up the pace at a major metropolitan hospital." If you have no idea who those actors are, you're probably not alone. We will all Google it together...
As for "Numb3rs," a final decision hasn't been made, but with the multiplying costs on a show with so many additional years like "Numbers" means that it will probably be subtracted from next season's lineup.
Yes I tried math humor there. I'm not sure if it added up.
OK I'll stop now.
As for other unknowns from last year, the cop drama "Flashpoint" will likely be back at some point, probably mid-summer. "Big Brother" is also likely coming back in the summer.
As for other programming in the spring schedule, reality will rule the day. The highlights will be "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" starting on February 11 and the new reality show "Undercover Boss." "Boss" has been getting great reviews by critics who have already seen the premiere episode. Some are calling it the next "Survivor" for the network. And CBS must believe in it since the premiere episode will air after the Super Bowl on February 7.
Here's how the changes are due to play out. If the day is not listed there are no planned changes on that night. Note that all times are CENTRAL, because, well, that's where I am:
