AUSTIN (September 2, 2010)—Texas is going to take another shot at its energy-efficient appliance rebate program.
State officials announced a winter 2010 rebate offering using unclaimed rebate funds.
The initial offer involved more than $20 million in federal stimulus funds.
Texas Comptroller's spokesman Allen Spelce said about $10 million was left over from the original program after all rebates were paid.
A listing Thursday on a website affiliated with the state comptroller's office, which administers the program, says additional details will be announced later.

I bought a new refrigerator, and said to heck with any rebate. The rebate money for everybody else just cost 'me' a lot more money! This is pure nonsense!!
