NEW YORK (February 8, 2010)--New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg quietly met with popular Texas megachurch preacher Joel Osteen Friday at City Hall and prayed with him while the best-selling author and evangelist preacher was in town for a Times Square prayer vigil for Haiti earthquake victims.

Bloomberg wanted to meet Osteen and invited him to City Hall.

The Houston preacher concluded their talk with a prayer for the mayor and his staff.

He asked God to bless Bloomberg with "health, vision and strength."

A video of the meeting was broadcast Sunday on the Trinity Broadcasting Network.
