WASHINGTON (March 10, 2010)—Bowl Championship Series Executive Director Bill Hancock says Congress "has more important things to do" than look into his group's revenue distribution and said the BCS will respond to a question-filled letter that two U.S. senators sent to him.

Hancock said in a telephone interview Wednesday that "the BCS is fair" and "we welcome the opportunity to tell our story."

Sens. Orrin Hatch of Utah and Max Baucus of Montana sent Hancock a letter this week, asking for details about how the BCS calculates which conferences get automatic bowl bids, how money will be divvied up under a new TV deal and what sort of legal status the organization has.
