WASHINGTON (November 20, 2009)—U.S. Senate Democratic leaders plan a crucial test vote Saturday on a sweeping health care reform measure, amid indications the rank-and-file will stand together to give them the support they need.

Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois, the No. 2 Senate Democrat, said Friday that leaders weren't assuming anything and were working to bring the caucus together ahead of Saturday's vote to begin debate on their health overhaul bill.

Two of three moderate holdouts have indicated in recent days that they will vote with fellow Democrats on the procedural vote and Durbin said that the third, Sen. Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas, has informed Majority Leader Harry Reid how she plans to vote.

Durbin wouldn't disclose Lincoln's answer but Democrats are moving ahead with Saturday's vote.

With Republicans united in their opposition, Democrats need the vote of every member of their caucus to reach the 60 votes needed.

The Congressional Budget Office says the $849 billion package would provide coverage to 94 percent of the country while cutting the deficit by $130 billion in the first decade and more after that.

Republicans say the bill will end up costing more like $1.5 trillion and makes no sense.

In fact, Republican objections are so strong that Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn threatened to have the entire bill read aloud to delay a vote, but he later backed off.

I don't get it! If this bill is so great, then why is so difficult to get it passed? As for a law suit, didn't you hear?, only Congress has the right to question the standing of anyone questioning the legitimacy of the constitution! This means that "We the people" have NO standing to question anything Congress does! Guess who controls Congress!!!

If this bill passes, I would like to find an Attorney that has the Guts to Challenge the Constitutionalality of this. Take it to the limit legally. Let me know if you are out there and help me stall this some more. I'm sure I can persuade others to follow.I will stand up and be Counted!!!!
