WASHINGTON (January 26, 2010)--As Democrats mulled over what to do about health care reform after losing their supermajority in the U.S. Senate, two centrist senators put up a new roadblock to the controversial overhaul.
Democrats Evan Bayh of Indiana and Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas say they would oppose the strategy Democratic leaders are considering to reconcile the House and Senate bills using a special budget-related procedure to go around Republican opponents in the Senate, a move sure to anger critics on the political right.
Bayh and Lincoln both face re-election this year in Republican-leaning states.
Even as they made their concerns known, House Democratic leaders reported progress in trying to get their rank and file to accept a modified version of the Senate bill.

Okay folks, first, by definition, a single payer system is another name for a monopoly. That is NEVER a good thing even when it's in the hands of the government. Secondly, there is no free ride. The goverment gimme programs ultimately cost YOU. Grab the purse strings and strangle off the spending frenzy. Fire all incumbents.
there is no way in hell big insurance will give up all that money they make, without a fight- If they have to lie, cheat and steal, they will. this is why I no longer vote republican- they lied to us for 8 yeears and drove the country into a big swamp. healthcare bill, is just like they said- open to interpretation- and so far, the money grabbing insurance companies are the one interpreting things in their own favor.
If any of you out there have read any of the health care bell, you would want to hang those people authored it. You all have no idea how dangerous and freedom taking away this proposed bill is. I have read it and read many interpretations of the different line items and sub items in listed. IT SCARES ME.
