WASHINGTON (March 18, 2010)--The Congressional Budget Office said Thursday President Barack Obama's health care reform bill would reduce the federal deficit by $138 billion over 10 years.

The CBO said Thursday the $940-billion legislation would provide coverage to 32 million people now uninsured by 2016, bring the total number of insured to about 95 percent of eligible Americans.

The budget office said the measure would continue to reduce the federal deficit in its second decade, although such projections are uncertain.

Key to the long-term savings are changes that appear designed to attract support from fiscal conservatives including accelerating the impact of a tax on high cost insurance, and slowing the growth of subsidies to make insurance premiums more affordable.

People have been paying into Medicare and Medicaid for years. Now, their benefits will be CUT to help pay for the Demoncrat idea for Socialist healthcare. How is that fair to the millions of people who paid into the programs and were expecting full benefits from them??? Every one of the Obama supporters should volunteer to do without Medicaid and Medicare so that all of the poor people without insurance can have free health care.

You can not believe that this bill will cut the deficit, unless you ignore the numbers. How would you like to pay for something for 10 Years, then have a benefit for 6 years and think you are paying cheap??? One does not need a college education in accounting to understand this myth.
